PHIL CORNETT
1922-1988
Phil Cornett, 66, of East Point died Monday, April 25, Mr. Cornett was
born April 20, 1922, the son of Dave and Eda Jane Goble Cornett.
He was a retired miner, and member of the East Point Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife; Eula Webb Cornett; four sons, Phil David
Cornett, Panama City, Panama, Billy Cornett and Bobby Keith Cornett
both of East Point, and Stephen Cornett of Staffordsville; four
daughters Charolet Evans of Danville, Mary Fairchild of East Point,
Betty Dotson of Prestonsburg, and Linda Combs of Garrett; one brother,
Otto Cornett of Prestonsburg; three sisters, Emma Music of Meally,
Maggie Wright and Lula Holbrook of Prestonsburg; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services where held Thursday, April 28, at 2:30 p.m., at Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Dave Flannery officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
Pallbearers included; William Cornett, Mike Fairchild, Dean Cornett,
Ronnie Cornett, Charles Cornett and Ricky Music.
