Thomas N. Crothers, a Paintsville resident, died in a Lexington hospital
Wednesday, October 9, at the age of 63.
 
Born in Borderland, WV, on January 26, 1911, he was the son of the late
William and Evelyn Williams Crothers. Mr. Crothers was a retired miner and a
member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
 
Surviving are his wife, Colleen Price Crothers, three sons, William T.,
Michael and David Lee, all of Paintsville, one daughter, Mary E. Hewlett of
Paintsville; three brothers, William Crothers of Jackson, OH, Danny L.
Crothers of Douglas, AZ, and James W. Burdsal of Pikeville and a sister,
Olice Justice of Covington.
 
Services for Mr. Crothers were held Saturday, October 12, in the First
Baptist Church of Paintsville with Reverends Charles Milam and William
Jaggers officiating.
 
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with arrangements
under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
