BOBBY CURNUTTE
1931-2004
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 1, 1 p.m. at the Jones-
Preston Funeral Chapel for Bobby Curnutte, 72, of Auxier, Ky., who
passed away Monday, June 28 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington,
Ky.
Mr. Curnutte was born October 3, 1931, in Floyd County, Ky., son of
the late Ora and Maude Watson Curnutte.
He was a retired coal miner and served in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ora Curnutte Jr. and
Billy Gene Curnutte.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Wireman Curnutte of Auxier, Ky.; one
son, Bobby Curnutte Jr. of Morehead, Ky.; two daughters, Amy
(Walter) Odenwald of Lexington, Ky., and Cathy Curnutte of Martin,
Ky.; one brother, Jim Curnutte of Cow Creek, Ky.; two sisters,
Helen Music and Bobbie Wells, both of Auxier, Ky.; one
granddaughter, Amelia Odenwald of Lexington, Ky.
The service was officiated by the Revs. Garfield Potter and Robert
Wireman, with burial following in the Highland Memorial Park at
Staffordsville, Ky.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home
of Paintsville, Ky.
