THOMAS DANIEL
1914-1985
Tutor Key resident Thomas Daniel, 71, died November 25 at the home of his
daughter, Lanell Meade of Wittensville.
Born March 20, 1914 in Johnson County, he was the son of Warren and Edna
Hamilton Daniel. Mr. Daniel was a retired coal miner, a member of the
Freewill Baptist Church and Paintsville Masonic Lodge 381 F & AM.
His wife, Shirley Pelphrey Daniel, preceded him in death April 18, 1984.
Surviving are a son, Roger Daniel of Tutor Key; a daughter, Lanell Meade of
Wittensville; two sisters, Dixie Pheiffer of Wittensville and Grace Hodge of
Dayton, OH; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 27 at 11 a.m. in
Baker Branch Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Vennie VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
