REBECCA SUSAN DAUSMAN
1949-2012

Rebecca Susan (Carroll) Dausman, 63, passed on to eternal life on November 8,
2012 in the presence of her loving children.

Becky was born October 22, 1949 to Widson “Chick” Carroll and Vivian Carroll
in Paintsville. Becky was blessed with an incredible heart and brilliant
mind, and she chose to use those gifts to put others first. Her life’s work
was one of tireless service, giving a voice to those who didn’t quite know
they had one, until they met her. As a speech pathologist, she first worked
with autistic children who could not speak well. And as she grew in her
career, so did her scope of impact on those she served, as well as the many
co-workers and friends she made at her various employments, from many years
with Easter Seals, to most recently, Salyersville Nursing Facility. However,
the most impactful roles she played were those of a daughter, sister, mother,
aunt, and nana. As a daughter, she honored and cared for her parents, as a
sibling, she was the voice of reason, and as a mother she raised her children
to be strong and loving, exactly like her. But the sweet spot she had for her
grandbabies was unparalleled by anyone, doting the beauty of small town life
and love on them continuously. We are certain that everyone who has known
Becky has been brought under the fold of her genuine love, the wrap of her
meticulous care, and the peace of her unconditional loyalty. This generous
woman leaves a legacy of love to so many, and we are grateful to have had her
for the years we had. She was a woman who knew no limitation in her love,
shown in her service to all. And while she is deeply mourned, we also
rejoice, knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and well as
with her loved ones who have passed before her. We are encouraged to know we
will be with her again in eternity.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Widson, and survived by her loving
mother, Vivian; and dedicated siblings, Chuck (Jamie) Carroll, and Linda
(Pat) Kincaid; her devoted children, Brian (Dawn) Dausman, and Emily (Nick)
Austin; as well as the joy of her heart, her grandbabies, Amelia, Natalie,
Annalise, Tallulah, and baby boy Austin who will be born in March, whom we
are certain has already met her first in the heavenly realm.

Saturday, November 10, 11-1p. m., at Jones- Preston Funeral Home, 807 S. Mayo
