ALICE DAVIS
1906-1978
Mrs. Alice Davis, 72, died Sunday, April 16, in Paintsville Hospital after a
short illness.
Mrs. Davis was born in Johnson County, Mach 12, 1906, the daughter of Newton
C. and Luna Williams Fairchild.
She was a resident of Nippa, a retired school teacher and had been a member
of the Freewill Baptist Church for 30 years.
Surviving are her husband, Bill Davis, a son, Ernest Ray Davis, Picayune,
Miss; three brothers, Thurman Fairchild, Ashville, OH, Harmon Fairchild,
Worthington, OH, and Dorman Fairchild, Paintsville, and three sisters, Mrs.
Edith Fairchild, Oil Springs, Mrs. Thomas Caudill, Derby, OH, and Mrs.
Dorothy Colvin, Delaware, OH.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 19, at the Mouth of
Rush Freewill Baptist Church at Nippa with Reverends James K. Caudill, Bill
Meadows and Bill Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
