AMANDA DAVIS
1913-1979


Amanda Davis, 66, died Thursday, October 11, at Paintsville Hospital
after an extended illness.

Mrs. Davis was born in Johnson County, June 15, 1913, the daughter of
Matthew and Bessie Dutton Caudill.

She was a resident of Flat Fork and was preceded in death by her husband,
Glen Davis.

Surviving are two sons, William M. Haney, Paintsville, and Roy Roger
Davis, Tutor Key, five daughters, Betty Puckett, Royalton, Pauline
McCarty, Flat Fork, Anna Reed, Red Bush, Juanita Collins, East Point, and
Virginia Reed, Sitka; a half brother, Pierce Caudill, Paintsville, two
half sisters, Elsie Castle, Thealka, and Ada Baldwin, Thelma, 22
grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 14, in Flat Gap Enterprise
Baptist Church with John Frank Ratliff, Willard VanHoose and Bill Runyon
officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
