Brenda J. Davis, 56, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, died Friday,
July 20, 2007 at her residence.
Born May 17, 1951, at Van Lear, she was a daughter of
Ruby Griffith Powers and the late George Powers.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, James
Powers; and a son, James A. Davis II.
Additional survivors include her husband, Gary Preston of
Newcomerstown; two sons, Eric Davis of East Point, and
Aaron Davis of Lowmansville; three sisters, Neva Ferrell
of Lake Como, Fla., Lavern McCluve of Navarre, Ohio, and
Georjia Morsillett of Prestonsburg; three brothers,
Darrell Powers, Mike Powers, both of Auxier, and Cecil
Powers of Massillon, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday, July 23, at her home
with Rev. David Carroll officiating.
A second memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Friday,
July 27, at her brother, Darrell's residence, 5162 Ky.
Rt. 321, Auxier.
Interment will be in Highlands Memorial Park,
Staffordsville, under direction of Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral
Home.
