CORA DAVIS
1906-1986
Cora Rowland Davis, 78, died February 3 in Riverview Manor Nursing Home in
Prestonsburg. Mrs. Davis was born December 5, 1906 in Johnson County, the
daughter of Richard Rowland and Sara Estep.
She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of the Freewill Baptist
Church.
Her husband, Hubert Davis, preceded her in death August 26, 1982.
Surviving are four sons, Eugene Davis of Sitka, Delno Davis of Fargo, ND,
Hubert Davis, Jr., of Louisville and J. V. Reed of Meally, a daughter,
Charlene Rose of Mt. Sterling; 18 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, February 5 at 10 a.m. in
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with C. C. Hall, Charles Banks and Cecil
Tackett officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
