GLEN DAVIS
1913-1974
Reverend Glen Davis, pastor of the Enterprise Baptist Church, died
suddenly at his Southside home last Wednesday, March 20, 1974.
A native of Johnson County, Reverend Davis was born June 13, 1913,
the son of the late Emory and Virgie Clark Davis.
Surviving are his wife, Amanda Caudill Davis; five daughters, Berry
Jean Puckett of Royalton, Pauline McCarty of Flat Fork; Anna Louise
Reed and Virginia Carroll Reed, both of Red Bush and Juanita Sue
Collins, of East Point; a son, Roy Roger Davis of Paintsville; a
step-son, William Haney of Paintsville; three sisters, Margie Haney
and Mildred Sosnowich, both of Flint, Michigan, Anna B. Totten of
Millington, Michigan; two brothers, Hubert Davis of Paintsville and
Emory Davis, Jr., of Flint and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted in the Southside Enterprise Baptist
Church on Saturday, March 23, 1974, with Reverends John Frank
Ratliff, Ellis Hamilton and Lowell Pelphrey officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones- Preston Funeral
Home.
