HUBERT DAVIS SR.
1915-1982
Rev. Hubert Davis, Sr., 67, died August 26 in Highland Regional Medical
Center.
Born May 13, 1915 at Weeksberry, he was the son of Emory and Virginia Clark
Davis.
He was a resident of Paintsville and a minister in the Freewill Baptist
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Rowland Davis, four sons, Orion Davis, Van
Lear, Oliver Davis, Sitka, Hubert Davis, Jr., Paintsville and Delano Davis,
Fargo, ND; a step son, James Reed, Meally; a daughter, Mildred Rose, Mt.
Sterling; a brother, Emory Davis, Jr., Flint, MI; three sisters, Marjorie
Haney, Flint, MI, Mildred Sosnowich, Paintsville, and Ann Totten, Millington,
MI; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 29, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
chapel with C. C. Hall and Charles Banks officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville,
Paintsville Herald
