Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 1 p.m. at the Jones-
Preston Funeral Chapel for Audrey McKenzie Dawson, 82, of Van Lear,
Ky., who passed away Monday, June 28 2004 at Central Baptist
Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Dawson was born March 13, 1922, in Johnson County, Ky.,
daughter of the late Julies and Josie Middaugh Burchett.
She was an upholsterer.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde McKenzie.
Surviving are two sons, Michael McKenzie of Wilmore, Ky., and
Phillip McKenzie of Paintsville, Ky.; two daughters, Melinda
Chandler of Van Lear, Ky., and Karen Blair of Paintsville, Ky.; two
brothers, Jesse Burchett of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Dean Burchett of
Lowmansville, Ky.; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and
three great-great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Gary Mitchell and Larry Blair,
with burial following in the Highland Memorial Park at
Staffordsville, Ky.

of Paintsville, Ky.
