STELLA DEMPSEY

Hager Hill resident, Stella Lowe Dempsey, 80, died Sunday, June 7 in
Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Dempsey was the daughter of the late
Samuel Lowe and Pite? Lowe.
She was a member of the Whitaker Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Oden Dempsey in 1980.
Surviving are three sons, Glen and Samuel Lowe, both of Warren, MI and
Winston Lowe of Hager Hill; two stepdaughters, Velva Stratton of Betsy Layne
and Lakie Clark of Warren; two brothers, Tom and John Canada, both of Pike
County, four sisters, Ollie Sallows of Paintsville, Hattie Parson of
Pikeville, Eunice Young of Ocala, FL and Sallie James of Shady Springs, WV;
and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, June 10 at 1 p.m. in Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
