Amos T Dickerson, 70, of River, died Tuesday, February 4, 1998, at
St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington.

He was born August 28, 1927, in Louisa, the son of Lee and Mary
Belle Williamson Dickerson.

He was a bookkeeper for Bowman, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Castle Dickerson, who
he married July 26, 1990, in Pikeville.

He is survived by two sons, Amos Dickerson, Jr., of Euclid, Ohio;
and Jerry Dickerson of Mentor, Ohio; two step-sons, Garry Castle of
Ashland, and Mike Castle of River; three daughters, Gail Dickerson
of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio; Judy Johnson of Willoughby, Ohio; and
Tina Marie Dickerson of Mentor, Ohio; five brothers, Bill Dickerson
of Defiance, Ohio; Dough Dickerson of Stambaugh; Jimmy Dickerson of
Indianapolis Ind., Bob Dickerson of Mantua,Ohio; and Larry
Dickerson of West Liberty; three sisters, Lilly Mae Horton of
Fallsburg; Mildred Holbrook of West Liberty; and Fannie Johnson of
Stambaugh; 13 grandchildren; and three step- grandchildren.

Services were February 26, at Preston Funeral Home Chapel with John
G. Pelphrey and John Sparks officiating.

Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.
