John Richard Dixon, 69, of Prestonsburg, died Sunday, July 10, 2005
at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville.
Born Sept. 25, 1935, at Van Lear, he was a son of the late Glen and
Ann McCellan Dixon. He was an insurance salesman, member of Middle
Creek Baptist Church, Prestonsburg, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Elizabeth Elkins Dixon of
Prestonsburg; two sons, Bert Carl Dixon and John Elkins Dixon, both
of Diana, Tex.; a daughter, Terri Dixon Eubank of Goode, Va.; three
brothers, Glenn Mack Dixon of David, Bert Thomas Dixon of Baltimore,
Md., and Wayne Arnold Dixon of Prestonsburg; a sister, Billie Jo
Dixon Pendergrass of Booneville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Nelson-Frazier
Funeral Home, Martin, with Eugene Cook officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the funeral
home.
