NELLIE ELAM
1901-1996
Lexington resident, Nellie Elam, 94, died March 21,1996 at the Paul
B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Johnson County on May 4, 1901, the daughter of Fred
and Rose Stanley Preston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elam.
Mrs. Elam was a member of the Concord United Baptist Church. She is
survived by four sisters, Mary Roman and Alice Roberts both of
Paintsville, Laura Schultz of Washington, Pennsylvania; and Estell
Porter of Elyria, Ohio.
Funeral services were held March 24, at the Paintsville Funeral
Home with Elder Charles Price officiating.
Burial was at the Highlands Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
