Funeral Held Tuesday For Fuget Women Mrs. Rachel Estep, 73, Fuget, Ky.,
died Sunday morning April 13, at a local hospital as the result of a
heart attack suffered Friday.

A native of Johnson County, she was born May 3, 1878, the daughter of
Lilburn and Rachel Lemaster Estep. She had lived in this vicinity all of
her life., and she was a member if the United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elza Estep on February 5, 1952.

Surviving are five sons and three daughters, William, Thelma, Ky., Glenn
and Lundy both of Fuget and Floyd and Lowell both of Fairborn Ohio, Mrs.
Clara Frazier, Flat Gap, Mrs. Vernie Baldwin, Staffordsville and Mrs.
Myrtle Burchett, Elna.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Clara Frazier; at Flat Gap. By Revs. Lonza Reed and
Tommy Bailey.

Burial was in Fuget Ky., Paddy Flats cemetery, under the direction of the
Jones Funeral Home.

ESTEP, Rachel S.

Rachel S. Estep was born May 3, 1878 the daughter of Lilburn and Rachel
Lemaster Estep. She departed this life April 13, 1952 age 73 years, 11
months and 10 days.

She was married to Elzie Estep April 27, 1894 who preceded her in death,
two months and eight days ago.

To this union were born 13 children, eight of whom are still living and
five having died in infancy. Those living are: Llioyd Estep, Fairborn
Ohio, William Estep, Thelma, Ky, Lundy and Glen Estep of Fuget, Ky and
James Estep, Fairborn, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. James L Frazier, Flat
Gap, Ky., Mts. Elie Baldwin, Staffordsville and Mrs. Ray Burchett, elna,
also a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was converted and joined the United Baptist Church on Jan 11, 1931
and lived a devote Christian life until death.

Her life was a shining light to all who knew her. Sleep on, dear mother,
sleep on, Sweet be the rest you've needed so long. We loved you dearly,
but God loved you best, So Sleep on, dear mother, we know you're at rest.
