JAMES F. OWENS
1929-1993
Paintsville resident, James F. Owens, 64, died Tuesday, December
7, at his residence.
Mr. Owens was born August 18, 1929, in Johnson County, the son
of Joyce McKenzie Owens and the late, Henry Owens.
He was a clerk tax commissioner with the Johnson County PVA and
was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are his mother; one son, James Owens of Paintsville;
one daughter, Carolyn Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters,
Martha Hatcher of Piedmont, South Carolina and Neva Owens of
Honolulu, Hawaii; and one grandson.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 10 at Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Lonza Reed officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
