JOYCE OWENS
1906-1994
Former Johnson County resident, Joyce Owens, 88, died Tuesday, November 22
at Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital, Greer, SC.
Mrs. Owens was born February 12, 1906 in Johnson County, the daughter of the
late William H. and Luda Williams McKenzie.
She was a member of Bethel United Baptist Church.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Henry Owens, in 1968.
Surviving are two daughters, Martha Hatcher of Piedmont, SC and Neva Owens
of Honolulu, Hawaii; one brother, John W. McKenzie of Circleville, OH and
six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 26 at Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with B. C. Ferguson and LaFrance Rigsby officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
