WILLIE PACK
1969
Willie Pack, 68, a retired miner and resident of Thealka, died March 7, in a
local hospital after an illness of several weeks.
A member of the Freewill Baptist church, he was a native of Martin County,
the son of the late Steven and Mary Spears Pack.
His wife, Julia Baldridge Pack, survives.
Also surviving are five sons; Ralph, of Mt. Vernon, IL, Ernest and Willie
Joe, both of Wabash, IN, and Hubert and Clyde both of Paintsville. A
daughter, Goldia Osborne, lives in Tucson, AZ, and another daughter lives at
Elizabethtown, nineteen grandchildren, also survive. Surviving brothers and
sisters include Joe Pack of Toler, Nelva Dutton of Williamsport, Levila
Delong of Tomahawk, and Golda McFaddin of Paintsville. Services were held
March 9 at the Freewill Baptist Church of Thealka, with Rev., Claude Preston
and Rev. Raymond Dale officiating.
Burial followed in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
Pallbearers were Donnis Blair, Lonnie Blair, George Conley, George Smith,
Bill Dale, and Everett Castle. The Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
