H. B. PAINTER
1901-1974
H. B. (Howard) Painter, 73, died in his Jefferson Avenue home
last Monday, June 10,(1974).
A retired electrician and member of the Baptist Church, Mr.
Painter ws born on June 8, 1901, the son of the late William and
Texanda Height Painter.
He is survived by his wife, Madge Gray Painter; a son, Richard
of Waverly, Ohio; four daughters, Gloria Hickerson and Evelyn
Butler, both of Louisville, Mary Marshall of Vandalia, Ohio and
Joanne Borders of Paintsville; 11 grandchildren; 7 great
grandchildren and a sister, Vivian Carson of Lynch Station,
Virginia.
Funeral services for Mr. Painter were held at 1:00 p.m. today,
June 12, in the Chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with
Reverend John Sammons officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home.
