NOLA PARSLEY
1918-2013
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel for Nola Parsley, 94, of Paintsville, who passed away
Saturday, Jan. 19 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Parsley was born Aug. 22, 1918 in Martin County, daughter of the late
Jack and Mary Hardin Pemberton. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Parsley; one daughter,
Anna Wiley; four brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Elmer Parsley of Denver, and James Morris
Parsley of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Esther Parsley Meade of Venice,
Fla.; one sister, Kizzie Copley of Elyria, Ohio; five grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Wayne Price, with burial in the Highland
Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
