Marcus Patton, 92, of Paintsville, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at
Veterans Center, Hazard.
Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Knott County, he was a son of the late William
and Alice Slone Patton. He was a grocery merchant.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Shepherd Patton of Paintsville; a
son, Danny Ray Patton of Nicholasville; two daughters, Brenda Patton
Hicks of Cool Ridge, W.Va., and Sue Patton Tharp of Columbus, Ohio;
seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 29, at
Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home.
