HOBERT PENIX
1912-1969


Hobert Penix, a lifelong resident of Williamsport, died April 15 in a
local hospital, at the age of 56. Born in December, 1912, he was the
son of Elisha and Fannie Pack Penix. A retired miner, he was a member
of the United Baptist Church.

Mr. Penix is survived by his wife, Almira Pack Penix, to whom he was
married in September 1938. also surviving are a son, Hobert Ferrel
Penix of Lakeland, FL, and a daughter Mrs. Wilma Jean Pack of
Paintsville. A sister, Mary Muncy, lives at Williamsport. Two
grandchildren, also survive.

Services were held Friday, April 18, at the Old Friendship United
Baptist Church, with Nim Sturgill, Glen Arrowood and Wallace Calhoun
officiating.

Burial followed in the Penix Cemetery at Williamsport. The Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
