FRANK PERKINS
1924-1998

Retired miner Frank Perkins, 74, died Thursday, December 10,
1998 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Perkins was born April 19, 1924, in Johnson County, to the
late Willie and Lula Bailey Perkins.

He was a retired miner and an Army veteran of World War II.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jewell Perkins,
on August 11 1998 three daughters, Carolyn Jean Perkins, Ruby
Jean Perkins and Collista Irene Perkins; and one brother,
Charles Edward Perkins.

Surviving are six sons, Robert Darrell Perkins of Van Lear,
James Leroy Perkins, William Hayes Perkins and Larry Joe
Perkins, all of Wabash, Indiana, Charles Ray Perkins of Peru and
Roger Allen Perkins of Logansville, Georgia; four daughters,
Lisa VanHoose of Paintsville, Barbara Sue Steele of Wabash,
Sheila Jefferson of Lucasville, Ohio, and Dorothy Ratliff of
Watkinsville, Georgia; one brother, Ollie Edward Perkins of
Wabash; two sisters, Ethel Nothine of Grove City, Ohio, and
Beulah Marie Bullins of Wabash; and 24 grandchildren and six
greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 13, at Van Lear
Enterprise Baptist Church, with Roger Hill, Kenny Collins and
Manford Fannin officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with
Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
