BRUCE PHELPS
1905-1986
Bruce Phelps, 81, died March 22, 1986 in Highlands Regional
Medical Center.
Mr. Phelps was born January 20, 1905, in Johnson County, the son
of Thomas and Trivilla Webb Phelps.
He was a resident of Van Lear, a retired coal miner and a member
of the East Point Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Belle Webb Phelps; two sons,
Densil Phelps of Ft. Myers, FL and Bruce A. Phelps of South
Shore; two daughters, Marthaleen Preston of Williamsport and
Ernestine Blair of Clarksville, TN; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-
grandchildren and one step-great- grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25, in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Flannery officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
