Lowell Douglas Phillips, 90, of Lexington, died Saturday, Oct. 30,
at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born March 6, 1914, in Flat Gap, he was a son of the late Meredith
and Nettie Hall Phillips.
He was a general warehouse manager with Island Creek Coal Company.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Walters Phillips of Lexington; a
son, Lowell D. Phillips of Hurricane, W. Va.; a brother, Eugene
Phillips of Wichita, Kan.; two grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Preston Funeral Home,
Paintsville, with Bob Baldridge officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home.
