Kermit Picklesimer, 78, of Sitka, died Friday, July 29, 2005 at the
VA Medical Center, Lexington.

Born Nov. 23, 1926, in Farmers, he was a son of the late Oakley and
Mallie Hitchcock Picklesimer. He was a retired miner.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anita Jo Picklesimer.

Survivors include a son, Rick Picklesimer of Sitka; three daughters,
Sherry Hinton of Frankfort, Terri Goble of Atlanta, Ga., and Krista
Rodgers of Winchester; two sisters, Helen Blair of Georgetown, and
Lina Dean of Falmouth; four brothers, Custer Picklesimer of
Paintsville, John Picklesimer of Louisa, Allen Picklesimer of
Zanesville, Ohio, and Kent Picklesimer of Flatwoods; eight
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 1, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Tobe Wheeler and Mark VanHoose officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Paintsville Funeral Home.
