Larry Powers, 61, of Van Lear, died Saturday, June 15, at Paul B. Hall
Medical Center, Paintsville.
Born Feb. 23, 1952, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late
Orville and Anna Reed Powers.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny Spradlin Powers; a son, Larry M.
Powers of Indiana; three daughters, Lou Ann Webb of Indiana, Amanda
Castle and Jennifer Powers, both of Van Lear; three brothers, James
Hubert Powers of Van Lear, Isaac Powers of Meally and Vernon Powers of
Floyd County; three sisters, Mary Belle Collins of Staffordsville,
Vinnie Swartz and Clovis Sherman, both of Ohio; and several
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 18, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Roger Hill and Red Vanhoose officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
