CORA PRESTON
1907-1974
Cora Preston, a 67-year old resident of Van Lean died In a local
hospital last Thursday June 27, 1974 after an extended illness.
Born June 15, 1907, Mrs. Preston was the daughter of the late
James and Mollie Bowling Blevins.
She was a member of the United Baptist Church for 31 years.
Mrs. Preston is survived by her husband, Paul Preston; three
daughters, Doris Ann Spencer of Lexington, Mrs. John L. Walters
of Williamsport, and Mrs. Ann Dockray of New Mexico; two
brothers, James Blevins of Martin and Herbert Blevins of Offutt
and two staters, Gertrude Ward of Baltimore, Md., and Thelma
Preston of Williamsport. Funeral services for Mrs. Preston were
held Saturday, June 29, in the Chapel of the Jones- Preston
Funeral Home with Reverends Nim Sturgill and Glenn Arrowood
officiating.
Burial was In the Highland Memorial Part at Staffordsville with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home.
