EVELYN PRICE
1888-1962

Mrs. Evelyn Price, 74, resident of West Van Lear, died in a
local hospital at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 9 1962, after an
illness of one year.

The daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Collins Williams,
she was born at Flat Gap January 20 1888, and had lived at Van
Lear for the past seventeen years.

She was a member of the United Baptist Church.

Her first husband, William Crothers, preceded her in death
February 1 1925.

She was married June 11 1930, at Wayland to Clarence Price, who
survives.

Surviving children by her first marriage include four sons,
Tommie Crothers, Prestonsburg; Robert, Santa Barbara, Calif;
Billy, Rio Grande, Ohio; Donnie, Jackson, Ohio; two daughters,
Mrs, Nell Penix, West Van Lear; Mrs. Olive Justice, Covington;
Other survivors include a step- son, Cleburn Price, West Van
Lear; two step-daughters, Mrs. Pauline McCoart, West Van Lear;
Mrs, Cloha Lee Crothers, Prestonsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle
Srone, Brooksville, Florida; Mrs. Della Whitt, Huntington, West
Virginia; also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 9 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday from the
Paintsville United Baptist Church, with Elzie Banks, Wallace
Calhoun and F.F. Rigsby as officiating ministers.

Active pallbearers, were TOm Crothers, Pat McCoart, Danny
Crothers, William Crothers, James Burdsal and Joe Hewlett.

Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at
Staffordsville.
