RUSSELL RAMEY

Rev. Russell Ramey, 77, died Tuesday, Sep 20. He was a resident of Volga.
Mr. Ramey was born Sep 28, 1899, the son of Ludema Ramey.
He was a retired minister and miner and a member of the First Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Virgie McKenzie Ramey; five sons, James and John F.,
both of Volga, Melvin of Lexington, David of U. S. Army , stationed in
Germany, and Russell, Jr., of Millersville, MD; two daughters, Mrs. Mary
Slone and Mrs. Hazel Hartge, both of Shelby, OH; 19 grandchildren and 11
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sep 23 in the Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Tobe Wheeler, Jr., officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
