Vertrice McKenzie Ratliff, 69, of Paintsville, died Tuesday, Aug.
29, 2006 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
Born Jan. 30, 1937, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Richard and Malta Lewis McKenzie. She was a retired
vocational teacher in Ashland.
Survivors include her husband, Paul B. Ratliff of Paintsville; a
daughter, Paula Holbrook of Munfordville; a brother, Paul Mickey
McKenzie of Paintsville; a sister, Louise Underwood of
Paintsville; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 1, at
Southside Freewill Baptist Church, Paintsville, with Wayne Price
and Larry Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
