MINNIE REDFORD
1896-1978
Minnie Redford, 79, died Tuesday, May 16, in Highland Regional Medical
Center after an extended illness.
Born July 25, 1896, in Warrington, England, she was the daughter of Joe and
Mary Ann Heaton.
Mrs. Redford was a resident of West Van Lear and a member of the West Van
Lear Church of Christ. Her husband, John Thomas Redford, preceded her in
death in 1942.
Surviving are four daughters, Lily Smith, Ivy McKeown and Joan Dodd,,
Warrington, England, and Dorothy Preston, Kettering, OH, three sisters, Ada
Warburton, Lily Tonge and Maria Smith all of Warrington, England, 11
grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 19 in the West Van Lear Church of
Christ with Joe Adray and Samuel Casebolt as officiating ministers.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Preston Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
