ARTHUR ALTON RICE
1912-1985
Funeral services were held Monday, August 3, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel for Arthur Alton Rice, 72.
Mr. Rice died August 2 in J. J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa.
He was born August 6, 1912, in Johnson County, the son of Norton and Ella
Murray Rice, and was a resident of Wittensville.
His wife, Elaine Setser Rice, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, William A. Rice of Sitka, Maurice A. Rice and John
R. Rice of Wittensville; a brother, Ora Martin Rice of Urbana, OH; seven
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
M. T. Womack, Jr. officiated at services with burial in Highland Memorial
park at Staffordsville.
