CARL RICE
1913-1995
Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Carl
Rice, 82, who died Saturday, July 1, at the Riverview Manor
Nursing Home in Prestonsburg.
Mr. Rice was born June 9, 1913, the son of Dr. Grant and Sina
Caudill Rice. He was a retired field clerk with Ashland Oil
Company.
He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Howard Rice; one son,
Phillip Rice of Wilmington, Ohio; one daughter, Pat Layton of
Piles Grove, New Jersey; seven grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 4, at the United
Methodist Church in Oil Springs with Rev. Doug Lawson officiating.
Burial was in Highlands Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
