Charley J. Rice, 86, of Wittensville, died Sunday,
Oct. 6, at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born Oct. 2, 1927, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late
Charlie and Wannie Mae Osborne Rice.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rice; two brothers,
Virgil Rice and Billy Carl Rice; and five sisters, Loutisha White,
Venus Wellman, Grace Looker, Emily Fyffe and Betty Blair.
Survivors include two brothers, James Rice and Wilbur E. Rice, both of
Ohio.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 12, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home, with burial in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville,
under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and after 9 a.m. Saturday
until time of services at the funeral home.
