John R. Rice, 79, of East Point, died Wednesday, March 2, at his residence.
Born June 24, 1931, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Dewey and
Ollie Conley Rice.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Sparks Rice; two brothers, Caul Rice of
Dayton, Ohio, and Willie Douglas Rice of West Van Lear; and three sisters,
Hermalee Andy of California, Garnet Moore of Dayton, Ohio, and Helen Violet
of Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral services were Sunday, was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville,
under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
