WILLIAM EVERETT ROBERTS
1897-1975
William Everett (Judge) Roberts died at the Paintsville Hospital Sunday,
March 16 following an extended illness. He was 77 years of age.
The son of the late Hariam and Tallie Stafford Roberts, he was born in
Johnson County on April 14, 1897. He was affiliated with the First Baptist
church and was a resident of Paintsville at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Roberts on June 17, 1974,
and is survived by one son; Jesse Roberts of Paintsville; three daughter,
Beulah DeBoard and Dorothy Jean VanHoose both of Paintsville and Betty Jo
Jasper of Oceana, WV.
Surviving sisters are Lucille Johnson of Flatwoods and Gladys McChasey of
FL.
Rev. Charles E. Milam officiated at services held in the Chapel of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 19.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with arrangements
under the direction of Jones- Preston Funeral Home.
