HAZEL ROSE
1905-1998
Hazel Sturgill Rose, 93, of Flat Gap, died Thursday, May 28,1998
at J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa.
She was born May 4, 1905, in Johnson County, the daughter of
Nathaniel Picklesimer and Leva Ann Lemaster.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Harry
Sturgill, who died, in 1966, and Everett Rose, who died in 1977.
Surviving are one son, Robert "Bob"' Sturgill' of Flat Gap; one
daughter, Betty Rae Estepp of Germantown, Ohio; one sister,
Irene Hitchcock of Evansville, Indiana; four grandchildren; four
great- grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Services were May 31, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with
Tobe Wheeler and Tim Salyers officiating.
Burial was at Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.
