VENEDA D. ROSE
1922-1981

Veneda D. Rose, 59, died Thursday, September 24, 1981 in St.
Mary's Hospital, Huntington, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Rose was born July 23, 1922, in Johnson County, the
daughter of Elmer and Nancy Cassidy Daniel.

She was a resident of Van Lear, a retired teacher and a member
of the Concord Independent Church of Jesus Christ.

Surviving are her husband, James Brady Rose, who she married in
Maysville in 1947; three sons, Paul Deaton, Van Lear, Stephen
Rose, Flat Gap, and Gordon Rose, Houston, Texas; two brothers,
Hubert Daniel, Van Lear, and Harold Lloyd Daniel, Coal Grove,
Ohio; three sisters, Daisy Preston, Thelma, Norma Meade, Tutor
Key, and Frankie Ratliff, Van Lear; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 27, 1981 in Concord
Independent Church of Jesus Christ with Henry Greene
officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
