Norma Jewell Sparks Ross, 88, of Blaine, died Saturday, June
2, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
Born April 15, 1919, in Lawrence County, she was a daughter
of the late John and Burtha Pack Sparks. She was a retired
school teacher with the Johnson County Board of Education.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ross, in
2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Sue Ross Souther of
Huntington; three grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 5, at Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Lonnie Terry, Teddy
Hall and Jeff Blanton officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery,
Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral
Home.
