Hargis Rowe, Jr., 78, of Hager Hill, died Friday, June 24, 2005 at
Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville.
Born May 22, 1927, in Magoffin County, he was a son of the late
Hargis and Laura Watkins Rowe. He was a heavy equipment operator.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Violet Jones Rowe; a son,
Phillip Rowe; and a granddaughter, Ambrett Rowe.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Dysert of Hager Hill; three
sisters, Betty Mann and Dorothy Huff, both of Alger, Ohio, and Marge
Gartside of Lima, Ohio; a brother, Stratton Minix of Alger; and two
grandchildren, Kerri Salyer of Louisville and Landon Rowe of Inez.
Funeral services were Monday, June 27, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, Paintsville, with Rev. John M. Wheeler officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
