GARY ALEXANDER RUBADO

Gary Alexander “Alex” Rubado, 40, of Paintsville, died Thursday, May
23, at Mountain Manor, Paintsville.
Born Feb. 14, 1973, in Johnson County, he was the son of Gary Lee and
Mary Katherine Sammons Rubado. He was a retired Kentucky State Police
trooper.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Hammonds Rubado; a son, Jacob Rubado
of Paintsville; a daughter, Gabriella Rubado of Paintsville; and two
sisters, Anvia Sheldon of Cleveland, Ohio, and Nicole Belcher of
Paintsville.
Funeral services were Monday, May 27, at Johnson County Middle School
Gym, with Terence Hoppenjans, Lt. Randy McCarty and Sgt. Gary Lafferty
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
