Garnetta Wells Rucker, 82, of Van Lear, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007
at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born April 11, 1925, in Martin County, she was a daughter of the
late Marion Jackson and Alice Burke Wells. She was a retired postal
worker and member of Van Lear Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Russell "Bill" Rucker of Van Lear;
four daughters, Lynda Lee Rucker Ratliff and Emma Ruth Collins, both
of Van Lear, Dana Jean Mathews of Lexington and Lori Lynn Castle of
River; a sister, Imogene Wells Sammons of Van Lear; nine
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 30, at Jones-
Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, with Bro. B. Joe Hill
officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
