Garnet McKenzie Salyer, 76, of Paintsville, died Sunday, May 25,
at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Feb. 27, 1927, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late H. L. “Dockie” and Mollie Kimbler McKenzie.
She was a retired teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Russell Salyer of
Paintsville; and a grandson. Funeral services were Wednesday,
May 28, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel, Paintsville, with Rev.
Terry Reffett officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
