ORVILLE SALYER
1918-1980
Orville "Red" Salyer, 61, died Thursday, Jan 31, in St. Joseph's Hospital,
Lexington, after a brief illness.
Mr. Salyer was a resident of Paintsville, self- employed as a cab driver and
a member of the Protestant Church. He was born Apr 11, 1918 in Johnson Co.,
the son of Ben and Laura McKenzie Salyer.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Lee Salyer, two brothers, Roy Salyer,
Paintsville and Mitchell Salyer, Chicago, IL; two sisters, Mrs. John Blevins
and Mrs. Willis Hamilton, Paintsville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb 3, in Jones- Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Revs Bruce Daniels and Dick VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
