TERESA SALYER
1889-1986
Mrs. Teresa Salyer, 96, died March 11 at the Flat Gap home of her son,
Trimble Salyer. Mrs. Salyer was born April 25, 1889, in Johnson County, the
daughter of Bill and Sarah Sparks Estep. She was a member of the Flat Gap
Baptist Church.
Her husband, Wallace Salyer, preceded her in death in 1967.
Surviving are two sons, Trimble Salyer of Flat Gap and Lundy Salyer of
Hilliard, OH; two daughters, Ethel Rose of Flat Gap and Irene Beaver of
Hilliard; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great
grandchildren; and a half brother, Theodore Osborne, of Dayton, OH.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, in Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel with Revs. Ellis Hamilton and Harold Salyer officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
