JUNE SAMMONS
1914-1980
Meally resident, June Dills Sammons, 66, died Monday, December 22, in St.
Elizabeth Hospital, Dayton, OH.
Mrs. Sammons was born in Johnson County, March 26, 1914, the daughter of
Thomas and Jenatta Fitch Dills, and was a member of the Freewill Baptist
Church.
Her husband, Russell Sammons, preceded her in death August 3, 1979.
Surviving are a son, Russell L. Sammons, Cincinnati, OH, three daughters,
Charlene Spriggs and Arlene Sammons, Dayton, OH, and Geraldine Spruell,
Marietta, GA, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 26, in Jones-Preston Funeral
Home chapel with Richard Williams officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
