 JOHN D. SELLARDS
1932-1973

 
John D. Sellards, an assistant postmaster with the Paintsville Post Office,
died suddenly Sunday, June 24. A lifetime Paintsville resident, he was the
son of Lyda Boyd and the late John Sellards and was born Aug 8, 1932.
 
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Dorothy MacPherson
Sellards; a son, John D. Sellards, II, at home and two daughters at home,
Deborah Ann and Pamela Jean. Additional survivors include six sisters,
Lorena Maynard of Auxier, Eunice R. Suttle of Newport News, VA, Mrs. James
D. Turner of Louisville, Mrs. Jason Spears of Dayton, OH; Mrs. Pete Jarvis
of Prestonsburg and Mrs. Fred Frazier of Ashland.
  
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today, June 27, in the Chapel of the
Preston Funeral Home with Reverend W. D. Jaggers officiating.
 
Interment followed in the Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville with
the Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
 
Pallbearers were P. D. Pack, Toby Johnson, Dick Jarvis, Jim Turner, Bill
Turner and John Edd Redd.
